Medical University – Varna Overview
Founded in 1961, Medical University – Varna is a modern, internationally recognized institution located on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Entrance exam:
- Biology and Chemistry written tests (English)

- Minimum 65% in the official language of instruction of the issuing country

- Parental financial support declaration
Language requirements:
- English proficiency required (via accepted certificate or MU-Varna’s English test)
- Accepted certificates: IELTS (6.5+), TOEFL iBT (90+), Cambridge (CAE/CPE), PTE Academic (61+)
- UK, US, Canadian, Australian, Irish, and New Zealand high school diplomas with “Very Good” in English are accepted without additional testing
- Non-proficient applicants may enroll in an English preparatory course
